Rumour: 1:1 Millennium Falcon set already built?

Ryan Leston has posted to Yahoo’s Scum and Villainy blog with the following bit of info regarding set construction for Episode VII:

“A full-scale 1:1 Millennium Falcon has been built as well as the interiors of the ship for filming,” [the source] explained. “The Falcon is done—inside and out. The sets were built off-site, ready to move when Lucasfilm/Bad Robot were ready to move into Pinewood.”

My personal suspicion is that this set will be used for the entire sequel trilogy as well as the rumoured Han Solo spinoff/origin film. Disney have Pinewood locked for a massive 10 years of Star Wars productions, and no doubt a full-scale Falcon set will see much use over that time.

Exciting times are ahead…
